Synaelo transforms your study materials into personalized learning feeds. This policy explains what we process, why we process it, and the choices available to you.
Information you provide
This can include your email address or Apple/Google account identity, display name, uploaded PDFs, text files, scans and note images, education level, learning language, lesson and teaching preferences, answers, saved lessons, and progress.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate your account, upload and process study materials, generate and save study sets, personalize content, preserve your place in each set, track progress, enforce plan limits, prevent abuse, provide support, estimate generation times, retry interrupted generation sections, and improve reliability.
Service providers and AI processing
We use providers including Supabase for authentication, database and storage services; OpenAI for AI-assisted generation; Pexels for attributed media; Resend for account email; and Apple and Google for optional sign-in. Uploaded materials and related instructions may be transmitted to and processed by these providers only as needed to operate Synaelo, generate requested lessons, secure accounts, and provide support. We do not sell personal information or uploaded notes.
Source files and retention
Uploaded original source files are stored temporarily while a study set is generated and are scheduled for deletion from active source-file storage within 24 hours after the study set is created. Generated learning content, preferences, saved lessons, and progress remain associated with your account until you delete the set or account. Limited backups, transaction records, security logs, deletion records, and records required for fraud prevention or law may persist for a limited period.
Generation and performance data
We may process operational details such as source file size, lesson settings, requested lesson type, queue and completion timestamps, generated item counts, retry status, and success or failure status. Synaelo may compare these details with recent completed jobs from other users to estimate how long a similar upload may take and to improve reliability. Another user’s uploaded notes or generated lesson text are not shown to you or used as the content of your time estimate; the estimate uses operational timing and configuration data.
Sensitive information
Synaelo is intended for ordinary study materials. Please do not upload Social Security numbers, financial account information, medical records, government identification, passwords, private information about other people, or other information that is not necessary to create a lesson. You are responsible for reviewing and removing unnecessary sensitive information before uploading.
Your choices
You can change your display name, language, grade level, appearance, notifications, and study preferences; delete individual study sets; sign out; or delete your account in the app. Deleting a set also removes it from Learn, Sets, Progress, saved content, and active cloud storage. Deleting your Synaelo account does not cancel a subscription billed by Apple; subscriptions must be managed separately through your Apple Account settings.
Security
We use encrypted connections and access controls designed to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please protect your sign-in methods and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
Children
Synaelo is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not create or use an account. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13, we may suspend the account and delete the information. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information should contact us.
Privacy and deletion requests
You may use the in-app controls to delete study sets or your account. You may also contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, or another privacy request. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and some information may be retained where legally permitted or required.
