Terms of Use

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create or use a Synaelo account. If local law requires a higher age to agree to these Terms, a parent or legal guardian must agree on your behalf. Synaelo is not directed to children under 13. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in methods secure. You may not create or use multiple accounts to evade plan limits.

2. Your materials

You retain ownership of notes, documents, images, and other content you upload. You give Synaelo and its service providers a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, transmit, process, transform, and display that content only as needed to operate the service, generate the lessons you request, secure the service, and provide support. You represent that you own the materials or have all permissions necessary to upload and process them, and that doing so does not violate another person’s intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, school, employment, or contractual rights.

Do not upload Social Security numbers, financial account information, medical records, government identification, passwords, unnecessary private information about other people, malware, or other sensitive information that is not needed for studying.

3. Generated learning content

Synaelo uses artificial intelligence to create explanations, examples, diagrams, stories, analogies, jokes, summaries, and questions. Generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, differently organized from the source, or unsuitable for a particular assignment or course. Synaelo is a study aid, not a replacement for your original materials, instructors, or professional medical, legal, financial, or academic advice. Verify important information against your source materials and qualified instructors.

Lesson counts are targets rather than guarantees. Quick Review currently creates up to 50 teaching reels, Balanced Lesson up to 90, and Full Lesson up to 150, with practice questions counted separately. Full Lesson is designed to provide broad coverage of uploaded material, but extremely long, dense, repetitive, unclear, image-heavy, or low-quality materials may be summarized, condensed, reorganized, or omit details. For the best coverage, divide very large materials into focused chapters or sections.

4. Free plan

The free plan currently includes two completed uploads per calendar month. A set counts only after generation finishes successfully. Failed or timed-out generations do not count. Deleting a completed set does not restore that month’s upload. Limits may be enforced across devices and accounts to prevent abuse.

5. Synaelo Plus

Synaelo Plus offers monthly and annual auto-renewing subscriptions with the price and billing period displayed in the app and on the Apple purchase confirmation screen. Plus currently includes 12 completed uploads per calendar month, Full Lesson access, more learning preferences, longer lessons, and space for up to 30 active study sets. Monthly upload allowances refresh at 00:00 UTC on the first day of each calendar month and do not roll over. Deleting a set does not restore an upload. Prices, taxes, and included limits may change as permitted by law and Apple’s rules.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Your subscription renews automatically for the same billing period unless you cancel through your Apple Account subscription settings before renewal. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not remove access before the end of the period already paid for. Apple handles billing, cancellation, and refund requests under its applicable policies. There is no free trial unless one is explicitly displayed on the Apple purchase confirmation screen.

Subscription access may require the Apple Account used for the purchase and the Synaelo account linked when the purchase was made. Use Restore Purchases while signed into that Synaelo account if access is missing. Deleting the app or your Synaelo account does not cancel an Apple subscription; you must cancel it separately in your Apple Account subscription settings to stop future billing.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Synaelo to violate law, infringe intellectual property, upload content you do not have the right to use, expose another person’s confidential or personal information, upload malware, harass others, bypass security or plan limits, reverse engineer the service, or generate harmful, unlawful, or deceptive content. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the service.

7. Third-party services

Synaelo relies on service providers for authentication, storage, email, AI generation, and licensed media. Photos supplied by Pexels include creator and Pexels attribution in the learning feed. Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy practices.

8. Uploads, estimates, and availability

Uploads are currently limited to 25 MB per submitted file or prepared group of images. Synaelo may resize or compress images before upload. Files must use a supported format, be readable, and contain enough usable study material to generate a lesson.

Generation time depends on file size and quality, lesson depth, selected formats, requested reel count, network conditions, queue position, retries, third-party services, and overall demand. Time estimates are informational and may be calculated from recent completion times for similar jobs. They are not deadlines or guarantees and may increase if a section must be retried. We work to keep Synaelo available, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or that every upload will finish. A failed, cancelled, or timed-out generation should not consume an upload allowance unless a usable study set was successfully completed.

9. Deletion, retention, and account sync

Your generated study sets, saved lessons, answers, progress, and feed positions may be stored with your Synaelo account so they can sync across signed-in devices. Original uploaded source files are scheduled for deletion from active source-file storage within 24 hours after a study set is successfully created.

You can delete study sets or your account in the app. Deleting a set removes its generated content and associated source material from active storage. Deleting an account removes account-associated content from active systems, subject to limited backups and operational, transaction, subscription, security, fraud-prevention, deletion, or legally required records. Deleting a set does not restore an upload allowance, and deleting an account does not cancel an Apple subscription or automatically create a new free entitlement if the same person returns.

10. Copyright complaints

If you believe material processed or made available through Synaelo infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@synaelo.com identifying the copyrighted work, the material at issue, how to locate it, your contact information, a statement of good-faith belief, a statement made under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act, and your physical or electronic signature. We may remove or restrict material and terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.

11. Disclaimer and liability

Synaelo is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that generated content is accurate, complete, suitable for a particular course, or available without interruption. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data, lost profits, or academic outcomes resulting from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Changes

We may update these terms as Synaelo develops. Material changes will be communicated through the app, website, or account email as appropriate. If a change requires consent under applicable law, we will request it. Continued use after an effective update means you accept the revised terms.
